You could use the burn tool and darken the edges a bit for a better flow.
Blurring the background is an option to blend the render more.
Instead of putting light source in his eye, do it behind the render because the one on the eye is hurting my eyes.
Overall, looks good.

I'd make the background brighter to compliment the light on his eye. Make the color on the render a bit more deep in order to establish it being closer to the viewer than the bg.
