Improvement?

I decided to remake a sig using the render I used for my first sig ever. The top one is obv the first sig I've made and the bottom is one I made recently. I'm thinking that purple gradient map may be my new trademark lol.
How vast was the improvement and where else can I improve?

People constantly complained that my sigs were nothing but spam and way too hectic. I've been trying a more simple approach now. Is it better or worse than my usual hectic sigs?

I love simple sigs so I think they are an improvement. But simple can be done really well or come out mediocre. You as the artist gotta make sure everything you make is what you imagined it would be.
