You needa smudge around the render, it's a good effect with lightening. try it

The text is pretty bad, but I guess you realize that by now.

The cape of the character is cut off, and you left it that way? Either make sure this is at the border of the signature, or use the stamp / heal tool to extend the cape yourself.
What was mentioned before, the character is blurry, I think some of your effects must have messed up.

It's always useful to learn how to work with masks, I'll tell you because you're new to these kind of things. For example, you could've masked the character and apply that to certain effects used, so that they wouldn't be applied on the character.
A mask is basically a selection / area where either can only be for example brushed in, or an area / selection that doesn't get effected by brush / effects etc.

I suggest you invest some more time in text and some additional tools.

If you think you can't read it all, that means you won't succeed with Photoshop.
Being impatience about reading it means that you don't put a lot of effort into what you're doing.
Instead of wasting your time by doing another signature (which is gonna be another fail because you haven't read a lot of tutorials) by reading 1 content out of the whole contents, I strongly recommend you to read it all. It's not gonna teach you the basics but give you some imagination as well. And trust me, having a good imagination is a big advantage.
