sgs have an obvious range limit while snipers can 2shot from anywhere -.- which is the lame part about them. But the worst thing about snipers isnt necessarily their stats but how people ALWAYS play when they use them... (2 snipers, backpedaling, walking around with block up/praying massives, potshotting, camping, etc)
