i watched it a while ago and the parts where it basically turned into a slice of life anime (when they go to the cabin) were kinda what got me interested in the genre. Kinda sad that

Toradora is probably one of THE best slice of life anime out there if not the best. People who usually jump from action/adventure; any other genre into Toradora seem to always love it. It's very well done and some of the scenes can be quite tear-jerking at times (it got me... that says something).

In addition, the main character, Taiga, is voiced by Kugimiya Rie, who is arguably the most popular female Seiyu (voice actor/actress) and does the job splendidly. I ultimately recommend this show if you want to start delving into the Slice of Life garden of goodness.
