Which elements are a must for MMO RPG's?

Hey guys I wanted to have all of your opinions on what kind of elements an MMO RPG needs.

By elements I mean things such as PVP, crafting systems, growing game content etc. Could you guys please tell me what you think these MMO RPG's need? You can give examples from other games, or just tell me what you're missing.

- Tons of quests with or without a storyline
- Equipment enhancement/customisation
- Dumb minigames
- Mounts

Maybe a End story?

It's going to be an MMO, meaning Massive Multiplayer Online. Therefore I don't believe having an end story will benefit the game. Also I'm thinking more on the PVP side.

Sounds very singleplayer, but I agree that co-op is important in ever aspect, thus dungeons etc.
