[Help - Other] High Ping

ZoneStyle told me to post here about my lag problem, but I know it's unfixable. I've gotten reported twice now because I lag/spike- but I can't help it. It's because I have satellite internet. I live in a rural-like area 30 minutes away from the city's center, so the internet I have is the best I can possibly get for where I live.

Are there any ways at all to even improve my ping/lag/spike a little bit? When I play my FGunz, all my unnecessary programs, processes, and applications are closed...so it's not that.

You can clearly see that your PING is 700-750, the only solution to do is to reduce all the downloads that you do, and to stop the downloading on all the connections on your router.

I don't download stuff while on Gunz, and neither do the other people in my house.

I've been reported twice for something I can't help...so eventually I'm going to be banned just because of my ****ing internet. I've spent over $50 on this game, and I really enjoy playing it- I have no intention of being banned and losing all my prems and my clan and characters...

Are you connected to your router/modem with a wired or wireless connection? Switching to wired can help reducing the ping.

Yeah, I'm using wireless atm, but I've got 4/5 bars. I'll try connecting directly and see what happens.

You have some bad speed & ping tests there.
Could you please stop using wireless connection and connect your modem to the PC directly?
When you do that, make another tests and post the results here.

satellite internet sucks hands down. its not for gaming at all
