sword of more boredom

so like a month ago, i wanted to texture something a bit more complicated. quickly modeled the whole sword, textured the blade and was pretty satisfied with it thus far until i had to texture the lion(?)'s head. turned out to be really hard to make that one look good so i just kinda dropped the whole project.

decided the finish the rest really quickly today, so it was atleast done to some extent.

few gripes i have myself about this sword:
- what is supposed to be the lion head looks really weird when you look at it from the front, i presume it has something to do with the eye placement but i just cant get it right
- the scales on the lionhead look pretty bad but i cant think of anything else to put there
- wraps on the handle are kinda boring



if i had to improve anything on this model, i would probably scrap the lionhead and put a normal hilt on it

You're sure that's a lion? To me, it looks like you put a sword through a sperm owl. Still looks great.

Thats a job very well done, looks pretty awesome . Both model and texture look really cool, however I'd love to see a little more color in the texture, anyways good job.
