    this have pros and cons.

cons: you won't be able to clarify your self i mean by that is explanation.

    pros: keeps spam/not-oh-so true clarification.

Erm but, what Imo, it should be put into public so the 'reported player' can see what did he did, so he can explain him/herself. actually, Omma's kinda right I think what the use of privatizing it when the completed reports are publicized?

Right, well maybe those who can "spot" should apply for GM when the spot becomes open.

I agree with you, but thats Mike, he doesn't give a shit about us. I can understand things are being held private to prevent discussion, though the discussion will eventually get there when the report is done. Staff members couldn't possibly gather all the critical information on a report, so the scenario that Omma is giving would actually benefit the GM's. Eventually that evidence will turn up as will the discussion, opening up those reports for everyone might just prevent some cases from being judged wrongly and help speed up some of them as well.

    Why it's a private section:
    1) People tend to make "Re: report against me" threads in the report section.
    2) People tend to make public threads like: "LMFAO he reported me".
    3) Reports can sometimes contain sensitive information.
    4) Players should mind their own business until we take care of the report.

You can always make an unwarn/unban/unmute appeal once the report has been taken care of.
It's a terrible thing, I think, in life to wait until you're ready.
I have this feeling now that actually no one is ever ready to do anything.
There is almost no such thing as ready. There is only now.
And you may as well do it now. Generally speaking, now is as good a time as any.

I do agree with most things that are said here.
However, in my personal opinion there are "critical" reports that should remain under "private" definition.
