Is Math and all the f=x needed for coding? I'm starting my way off to college as a freshman this fall, and I wanted to take Information Technology for Advanced Certificate in Coding. But I'm terrible at Math and want to learn code. I want to carry this knowledge into a GAME based enviorment.\

    TL;DR

Is Math needed for C++,C#,C,Java etc etc

Yes, pretty much overall math helps you to think faster and solve your issues faster because while studying math it improves your way of thinking and so on.

    Why is there isn't a
half YES and half NO? O_O

well, basically part yes, as what like George says but in my opinion no, it aint just math, you also need a 'logical/critical' thinking when it comes to coding like
'what would be the outcome if I try this instead of this'. etc.

From some of my very basic understanding. the only math you will need is how to add, subtract, multiply, devide, understand variables, understand what "<" and ">" and "^" means. (For Java anyways) its just basic math. but as sakiyuji said, math is the least of your problems. "var" "if" "and" "or" "else" are the main fkers you will have difficulty in.

TLR. only basic math is needed but there are much harder things you need to think about too

Yes, and especially for games. (Artificial Intelligence, algorithms, encryption, etc.)
It's a terrible thing, I think, in life to wait until you're ready.
I have this feeling now that actually no one is ever ready to do anything.
There is almost no such thing as ready. There is only now.
And you may as well do it now. Generally speaking, now is as good a time as any.

Depends on what kind of coding you do

Male 2: "is that a toyota corola?"
Male 1: "no, its a VW golf"

unless you're looking to do the physics for the next crysis game engine, probably won't need more than rudimentary calc l0l and common sense

Definitely. Although, it's not just the math itself, but also the way of solving problems. The logic and insight that are required to be good at math are also required for programmers in game industries, probably all coding industries.
