We're on the same problem danny, it happens to me 6-7 times a day.. So I just relaunch, when it happens.

Okay what is with people knee-jerking over everything saying downgrades to Win7 are needed? And what's this idea of compatibility mode costs money? Compatibility has been built into Windows since 7 and it's in Win 8 and 8.1 just the same. The only thing that's changed is how you access it, which is why I told you to get Start8 because it returns 8.1 back to 7's way instead of burying everything in Metro. Start8 only costs 5 bucks, and that's pocket change to everyone on the planet if you can't really part with 5$ I have to laugh at the idea of buying a fresh copy of Win7 which will run you 10X the amount.

If you want to get to compatibility mode without Start8 then you have to jump through Microsoft's hoops they've set up, a simple search is really all it takes this isn't rocket science welcome to the age of information. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/w...ersion-windows

Oh and game booster won't help you either, that just disables processes and programs that take up RAM and slow your game down from running at full capacity if your PC can't handle it... which is laughable that a new PC running Win8.1 wouldn't be able to run FreestyleGunZ.

I'll say it again, your problem is not going to be solved by anything on how you disable other programs or processes it's how Windows talks to the game.
