Just remember that VNs are made to be interactive as well as telling its story. Being a narrative, it will feel like it's dragging a lot slower at first (especially if you have never tried a VN before), but give it several hours and you should be able to more or less get well invested with its interactivity and enjoy it far more in that regard.
