The entire point of a welcome thread is to welcome someone who is new or who is returning, is it not?
Just because we don't know the person has nothing to do with welcoming him.
Would you rather nobody "welcome" him unless they know him?
Our community would be seen as a shadow-reflection as warming, wouldn't be quite nice if nobody was allowed to say a simple welcome.
