Today I am going to share with you a system I am working on, which will be one of many upcoming additions. Introducing Avatar Clothing!
What is Avatar Clothing?
It's great that you asked! Avatars in GunZ, traditionally, are full body replacements that fit in a single item slot.
Well, that's all about to change. You now have 5 extra slots to put items in corresponding to item slot types, for example, head and chest. These slots work as appearance slots for items. Meaning, whenever you place an item appropriate for that slot into these slots, you gain its visual appearance and none of its stats! Amazing, right? There are no gimmicks to this system, and no tradeoffs to this system. Simply place an item inside one of these slots and enjoy their benefits of its looks.
I don't like to use my hat item for stats, and I prefer to play with no stats. Will equipping an avatar item give me the appearance and no stats?
Not to fear! You'll be able to equip an avatar item in the avatar slot and it will give no stats, but still change your visual appearance.
I'd like to be naked but still have stats. Is there 'naked' avatar clothing?
We could certainly add the appearance to an item to make you look naked. Of course, but it will still require an item obtained in the game.
What if I don't have an avatar item in that slot? Will it give me a naked appearance?
Absolutely not. If there is no item in the clothing avatar slot, it will not apply the effects of the avatar.
Will traditional GunZ avatars still be an option as a full body replacement?
Yes! You'll be able to equip old avatars still. As an added bonus you'll be able to equip an avatar and change individual parts of the avatar by equipping avatar clothing to the appropriate slots.
Is avatar clothing a special type of item?
Nope! All clothing can fit into the avatar slot appropriate for that piece of armor that already exists in the game. So hands go into hands, chest into chest, etc.
