[Help - Other] Crosshairs not being loaded into the game

unsure what is going on but I've tried everythink i could think of.
i shoved in the crosshair folder a crosshair.png / crosshair_pick.png and its not even showing up in game.
All i see is the usual default 5 crosshairs not the custom one.

Sometimes adding the .PNG extension yourself makes the crosshair unavailable in-game (from personal experience while helping ppl with teamviewer).

Just name the the picture as crosshair.
Remove the crosshair_pick as there's no use for it.

Probably because they turned on "Hide known extensions"

i think it may have been picking up the '.png' as raw text in the file name.
deleting the file extension from the name worked. ty

when your crosshair you have is already a .PNG file adding .PNG will give: crosshair.PNG.PNG which is why it doesn't show up.
