As I've recently read on reddit, this "fix" changed my cpu usage from 10% to only 2% (browsing internet)
which is an 8% improvement since I've done this fix.

my fps also improved (especially I could run Tera from medium to high on everything (wtf?))

now you're wondering, how I've done it.

To start, press Windows Key + R, this will open the run window:

    in the box type: services.msc

    this window will pop up:

now click on "name" on the top bar till the arrow points up, as in the above screenshot.
Then search for: "NVIDIA Streamer Service"

right click it and press "Properties"
the following window will pop up:

now click on the button "Stop" on the near bottom to stop the service.
and set the "Startup Type" on "disabled" (just above the stop button)

Note: This will disable the capability to use a NVIDIA Shield, so if you have one and stream your games to it, don't disable it.

You can find the original post here: http://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace..._cpu_usage_by/
Credits for the guide go to lhikary from reddit, I made the more detailed guide.
    Hope you enjoy.

The nVidia Shield uses around 20-30% of your CPU and it would only affect on computers whose nVidia graphic card is an outdated one.
It doesn't boost the FPS much, on FGunZ with shield if you play with 200 FPS no limit and disable it, your FPS would probably jump to 250-300 which is not that much.
Also, nVidia stated that they would be pulling an update soon regarding the Shield service, the high CPU usage would be gone once they release it.

50 ~ 100 fps improvement can be a lot to some people running only 60 fps...
besides, It's not only the older one's, I have an 820m (bought this laptop a week ago new), and even I had problems with it.

the cpu usage is a pain in the ass, but this fixes it..
so I guess it's worth doing it.

Not every VGA supports it so if you don't have it, it's not a big deal - better for you.
