A very simply that already exists in several other games, spec your friend in clan war would be great and would avoid wintrades.

Keep tabs on the people spectating.
DOS attacks are rare now.
I don't foresee it being an issue with people's IPs being generated easier..I like to think the community is mature enough to handle such a feature.
If the devs are willing, why not?
They're a bunch of geniuses, and honestly, I feel that they could get it done easily.
I get people have real life commitments too, but, collaboration goes a long way!
