So, after many people have asked me to look into fixing the camera distance at widescreen resolutions, I finally got around to doing it. I was originally going to include a camera option, but many people were afraid it would be abused, allowing people to see too far behind them, so instead I hardcoded the fix into the source. You'll see in the 2 screenshots that the distance from the character is practically identical now.
