I think you might have an outdated router, i have a new router and an old router
new router = 30ping to own house
old router = 160ping to own house
    (same internet card)

@Kable if you troll like that when someone needs help you'll get infracted on the forums btw..

How close are the laptops to the router?
If you ping from laptop 1 to laptop 2, it will go like: Laptop 1 > Router > Laptop 2 and back.

Also, WiFi heavily impacts the ping.
It's a terrible thing, I think, in life to wait until you're ready.
I have this feeling now that actually no one is ever ready to do anything.
There is almost no such thing as ready. There is only now.
And you may as well do it now. Generally speaking, now is as good a time as any.

You're most likely connected to each other with NAT and not P2P which causes the lag. We can't do anything about it.
