The first Ted was indeed better, but it wasn't really horrid like some sequels to movies/shows..

Although the original's over-the-top vulgarity has been dialed down a notch, Ted 2 still offers plenty of R-rated laughs.
    Frank Scheck·Hollywood Reporter

The coarseness and monotony of politically incorrect jokes wear the viewer down.
    Ann Hornaday·Washington Post

Ted 2 is a two-hour exercise in frustration, because you can see that behind all the foulness, MacFarlane can actually be disarmingly funny.
    Paul Asay·Plugged In

Though crafted with a more mature hand, 'Ted 2' feels episodic rather than reinventive, and is ultimately just more of the same.
    Kofi Outlaw·Screen Rant

In a quest to be a husband and father, the character voiced by Seth MacFarlane aligns his struggle with that of enslaved black Americans.
    Manohla Dargis·New York Times

“Ted 2” aims low and hits the target, but also manages, in its scattershot way, to be gleefully resonant with our fevered times.
    Joe Morgenstern·Wall Street Journal

Ted 2 strikes a sometimes-awkward balance between sincerity and cheap provocation. It also forgets that the real draw of the first film wasn’t Ted himself, but Wahlberg.
    A.A. Dowd·A.V. Club

You will believe that a talking CGI stuffed animal can be a racist, hateful monster … but his greatest sin is that he's not funny.
    Jacob Hall·New York Daily News

If you're ready to go with the hit-and-miss flow, you'll laugh your ass off.
    Peter Travers·Rolling Stone

The movie’s as much of a mess as the scene in which the boys extravagantly mismanage an encounter with a rack of sperm donations.
    Kyle Smith·New York Post

This movie reminds me of why dead teddy bears way too often 10/10
