What's the 'Stencil Buffering' setting?

Stencil buffering fixes textures issues in GunZ. Basically, some textures do what's called z-fighting, which to explain simply means one tries to display over the other, and it causes texture glitches. Go to the mansion map, to the red base, and look at the top of the doorway and compare it on vs off.

It has to do with the depth buffer, which is d24s8, the 8 bit stencils does nothing, but that 24 bit depth buffer does. You knew exactly what I meant lol.

I didn't think I was ever going to reinstall GunZ again, but this update reeled me back in. Holy shit this update is gonna make gameplay so much better.
