    After some VIP-only testing we are proud to announce that the Challenge Quest Test Server is open to the public!

    Below is the download link. You may pick from one of these mirrors:

    Extract it to a place on your harddrive and run FTestLauncher.exe. This will patch your game client to the latest test client version. If you continue to have issues downloading the client, contact Secrets on the forums and I will personally give you an alternative link.

    We recommend that you copy your config.xml over from the live client to the test client. After the testing period is over, feel free to delete this client from your hard drive.

    Please use the General Chat topic for reporting bugs relevant to testing. If you have any troubles with the client also post in here as well.

    Log into the challenge quest/development server once you launch the game. The normal server will kick you out if you try and log into it.

    Below are the patch notes from Updates in the VIP test:

    Update #1
    -Fixed the boss HP/AP bar. It now shows appropriate times for CQ boss rounds.
    -Attempted a late join fix, we'll see if it works.
    -Added some sanity checks for late join.
    -Players are no longer spawning twice after a round ends.
    -Players should now not be added to the "Player Controller" which assigns NPCs to you until a round ends. Fixes an issue with NPCs being unresponsive on a late join.
    Update #2
    - Bosses now drop special rewards for testing in Challenge Quest, specifically, an Ownage v11 (the level 99 Ownage). If you forgot to pick them up after the round ended, it's automatically distributed to a random player on your team!
    - Boss Drops also show a message, telling which player received the random item along with its item level and rarity.
    - Late-Join now puts you in spectator mode. You can see people fighting NPCs! This fixes a lot of round state issues that were occuring like double spawning.
    - The ChallengeQuest game result window after finishing a Challenge Quest is now in place. It's a work in progress at this time.
    Update #3
    -Exp/BP is now routed to the client from the server under the proper handler. This fixes:
    * EXP display on quest end
    * BP display on quest end
    * EXP percentage updating
    * XP Display on round end (Fixes this for CQ, Quest, and Survival)
    -A client crash issue that could occur under high latency when entering or exiting the game has been fixed.
    -A performance issue involving NPC movement and AI checks has been fixed.
    -Beginning of displaying quest rewards at the end-of-match screen. This only applies to ZItems as we plan on doing away with quest items/sacrifice lists in CQ.
    -Optimization of many features, including and not limited to:
    * NPC AI
    * Text rendering per-frame for some UI elements
    * Time calculations
    * Some packet handlers
    * Some serverside world item calculations
    -Quest time spent calcuations have been fixed.
    -Quest timers no longer keep calculating time on the results screen, and now clear their results on the end result page.
    -Quest rewards now clear internally after a game ends.
    Update #4
    -Robot quests have been disabled entirely. We intend to re-write these at some point and won't be included in the final release.
    -Exp/BP is now applied properly depending on the round, this fixes an issue where specific rounds were giving too much exp as they were flagged incorrectly as the round ahead of the current one.
    -Exp/BP amounts are increased dramatically.
    -Fixed an issue where Challenge Quest NPCs could be flipped or using a dagger, katana, or sword flip.
    -Knifemen and Riflemen have had their HP/AP increased to compensate for the FreeStyle GunZ weapon and PVE item level mechanics (+80 in most cases)
    -Challenge Quest NPCs should no longer attempt to scale their HP or AP in all cases. As such, you will receive a noticeable increase in power going from a higher item level weapon to another.
    -Replaced the descriptions and title of each Challenge Quest scenario. They have a mini story now, and are Act 1-4, designated with roman numerals.
    -Removed the level requirement for all Acts. Higher Acts are intended to drop better loot and be more difficult than ones prior.
    -The Psychic in Act II has found a friend, who is just as potent in the ways of the magic arts, but not as powerful in defense.
    -The Psychic in Act IV is less powerful, but summons different creatures.
    -The Psychic in Act IV now drops Act III loot.
    -There is now a Psychic in Act I that drops Act I loot.
    -The Psychic in all acts gained an ability that is like no other provided you stand too close to him... you may wish to take his friends out, or become overwhelmed!
    -Act III's NPCs have gained a hitpoint increase compared to Act II.
    Below are the Updates in the public test client:

    Update #5
    -Added more psychics throughout the levels. These miniboss rounds will provide above-average levels of EXP in comparison to lower quest levels. The psychics must be dispatched quickly or else you will be overrun!
    -We highly recommend getting PVE Ownages from Iron Golem or getting carried through CQ by hardcore questers before testing. We are balancing this content around having Level 10 Uncommon items minimum! Do not be upset if you can't beat the levels. Do normal quests until you're ready to do CQ.
    -Act I was incorrectly awarding 100k EXP in one of the easy stages. This stage has its EXP nerfed to 75000 and a easy psychic added.
    -Exp has been nerfed globally to compensate for combat EXP rings.
    -The general has found a few more friends in Act III, though they will be easy to take out in comparison to Act IV.

    Just an update. There is a new client for download, and the old launcher will cease to work. This new client will be deployed very soon to the official FGunZ Server, so please get as much testing in as you can.

    We've also adjusted the difficulty of Challenge Quest. Psychic minis are a lot harder, beware!

    Special thanks to Nexys from a gunz server that I cannot name for help with the new launcher and patch system. You rock buddy.
