Sounds like your Avast is quarantining the Gunz Launcher so it can no longer locate/execute the file. You need to add Gunz.exe / Launcher.exe to your Avast exceptions, until you do this no matter how many times you reinstall it's not going to work.

Are you also running Windows Defender? This too will quarantine the launcher.

This error means you should run the launcher as adminstrator from the folder located in C:\Program Files\Freestyle GunZ not from the shortcut.
As for the couldn't find patch info, Turn off your firewall, Anti-virus, Pause any downloads and close browsers while updating and also open your launcher as adminstrator.
