When you kill someone in infected with zombie, very.. very rarely u'll see you kill the ''human'' twice, which makes him unable to play as a zombie, because he got killed twice. The zombie who killed the human and that moment gets 2 kills on the scoreboard as well.

Yea it happens many times in Infected mode .

It only happens when the other user sees the ''double type bug''. He probably will also see you 2 times on the scoreboard. Simply rejoining fixes it.
On an occasion the user might have a client bug too which places him/her in another character that's playing from the same network. He/she might kill you twice/get killed twice too.

Personally I doubt there is a lot they can do about this. Simply keeping an eye on your scoreboard might help avoiding this not to mention rejoining when you kill someone twice just to be fair.
