Guys I need help removing installer.exe.

When I attempt to delete it, a pop-up is showing that I couldn't delete it because the file doesn't even exist.
Tried moving it elsewhere, tried dragging it directly to the Recycle Bin, still failed

I even tried opening properties to set its attributes to "Hidden" but it also won't work.

Are there any other options? It's annoying to see a useless file in my document library.

    Thanks in advance.

Have you tried searching for this file anywhere else on your PC?

Yes. But I don't see it. It's only in "My Documents".
I tried searching for the file's original contents and I have no idea where.

Have you checked your programs list in the control panel? Maybe you can uninstall the file from there.

    Two things..

This can be known as a 'ghost' file where an ghost file is left by a deleted file. It usually gets removed after a reboot.

If after the reboot the file isn't gone, it's not a ghost file. You can use something like IOBit's Unlocker to remove it.

Use CCleaners Registry Cleaner <- to scan for unused shortcuts and or try to uninstall with Revo Uninstaller <- Most powerful uninstaller.
