    personally, i've had my eye on the Nikon D3300 for quite a while. My best friend has one of these and they told me that they'd absolutely 100% recommend it. It was their first camera as well and for an entry level they'd highly recommend it.
    The only negative thing i've heard from sony users is that the lens availability is very small. There's not many in the market which makes it really difficult for people to get a sony lens.

    idk though, this is coming from someone who's never used a dslr before :p
