Hello there, I'm Vinícius Magalhães Horta. (Fb)
I'm 24 years old, I'm from Brazil, I'm an english teacher and I currently work at a company named CEBRAC. (Our team of teacher's, I'm the guy at the right end). Lastly a picture of my students and I celebrating Thanksgiving day on saturday.

I'm also a professional C++ programmer, I mostly worked with C++ and Microsoft SQL database, I've worked with FlyFF (Fly for fun) MMO for about 4 years, during this time I developed many PvP/PvE systems, item combination systems, pet systems, actually all kinds of system. I was the developer behind one of the biggest FlyFF PServers named Fly For Hero, that reached a peak of 800 players, sadly with new big companies and MMO's the server shutdown. I was the creator of a huge amount of content that would take a long text to show, also this system was one of my creations:

Here I created basically everything, the map, the ball aura, the system: scoreboard, pyre captyre, everything.
In this system there are two teams, red and blue, there are also 3 pyres(pillars) in the map, top middle and bottom.
A player has to get close to a pyre press spacebar and do not move/attack for about 6 seconds.
If all pyres are being conquered by a team a countdown starts and unless the other team conquers one of the pyres the team gets points for each 3 seconds that the pyres are conquered. The team also gets points by PvP'ing and killing bosses that appear during the match, killing the boss gives the whole team a atk/def aura. There's also weekly guild tournament matches that are saved in the database.

This is a basic explanation, but just to show a bit of the complexity of what was created on this system.
I was paid 650U$$ dolars a month for about 6 hours a day of work. I was responsible for everything since correcting the most obscure of the bugs to creating big systems as this one.

I also did freelancer jobs at other server, as Insanity flyff, and I co-owned my own server for a couple of months when my partner had to study to study in USA.

I'm also a 3 year old member of Stackoverflow. (Profile link).

I've always loved programming, I always look forward to program organized, safe and portable code.
I'm looking forward to do some programming in my free time, no, I won't be charging as this is a game I loved back in the days.
If you need you can add me on facebook or ask me for any other kind of instant messaging contact.

I hope I am not missing anything, I know there's always an initial programming task to prove me and I'll be glad to do it!
    See you!

    Hello,

Do you have any experience with the GunZ source? Ever made features for GunZ?
Although it's great to see that you have experience with FlyFF, we only host GunZ and it's is quite a "thing" by itself (and messy code).

In case you don't have experience with GunZ, do you think you require tutoring?
It's a terrible thing, I think, in life to wait until you're ready.
I have this feeling now that actually no one is ever ready to do anything.
There is almost no such thing as ready. There is only now.
And you may as well do it now. Generally speaking, now is as good a time as any.

Umm, I developed a bit for A**** Gunz (won't put the name here) I remember. I'm very experienced with DirectX9 client-sided games, more GunZ-game wise mostly it's just understanding the classes and what classes are responsible for what, it's very easy to me, I also noticed it still uses hungarian notation and I can work with that too!

A simple bit of explaining would do that work, if needed at all, if you don't want to, it's not needed I can handle it on my own.

I sent you a PM which contains a task to see what your code is like and how you approach situations.

    Butters, there you go:

People should get exp by completing races, and yeah before you even think of it, shortcuts will be blocked on this mode

Explain me how that stops the "cheat" on the Mario 3 map.

Besides that it would be easier to remove the whole "bypass/cheat" Mario 3 race map if you would remake it.

None the less all them people who "thanked" your post previously have no clue what you posted ;D.

These are the character 3D coordinates on the map, these coordinates form a cube, where when the player 'touches' or 'passes through' this cube he is re-spotted to the beginning of the race or to some other spot depending of the shortcut he's trying to take. I think it's easier to remodel the map like you said, really. Either way this code IS necessary for the team-run game type because, well you know that final cube in the end of supermario3? I have to check the first player to step on it so this code pretty much does it.

I should've finished this system a few days ago if I had a computer at home...I'm using work computer during days when I'm not lecturing...so yeah.
By day 20 I'll be on vacation for two weeks and I'll buy a new computer then I'll be able to do quite a good bunch during this time.

I do understand some coding is needed, we will wait till you are back with some results so we can see how much of an addition you could be for FG.
You have my interest already .
