VIP Event Image + Timer

Suggestion description:
Make a VIP Event image above the chatbox. So whenever the VIP event is hosted, they'll know when they log on to the forum. Should also make it so whenever they click the image itself, it links to them to this week's VIP event thread.

VIP Event - 00:23:10 (0 hours/23 minutes/10 seconds remaining) would be a good representation of what it should or can look like

that's not always the case
the majority of you complain about the time it's being hosted or even keep asking every 15 minutes about when the VIP event is being hosted
it could come in handy indeed, but there should be a proper timer along with the image or something

The VIP Event image could actually be a countdown or something like that, even then, if player do have to know how long is left, they don't have to continuously check the thread, they can see it on the image.

With my suggestion, it would only say VIP Event In-game.
With Zachs suggestion, which completely improves mine, there will be a timer that I'd imagine, only VIPs would be able to see. It would be a lot easier to set up if there was just a timer at the top of the chatbox.

Also, as far as I'm aware the people who host the VIP event do host it when they actually plan and don't delay it, don't know where that came from. Should talk to someone about that instead of bitching on the forum about it

I support this to the fullest, just because a lot of VIP members don't always look in the "VIP Section" of the forums and a lot of VIP members end up being late to the event or just missing out on it.

You can add days too if you want to announce it, let's say 3 days before..
