After you die you have 5 seconds until you can respawn, in those 5 seconds it could be possible to show a replay of the kill..
There's nothing stupid about it in my opinion, to me it's more stupid to awnser his idea whith such an awnser especially when it comes from a member of the staff.

Whether or not he is a member of the staff he still has the given right to express his honest thoughts, regardless of how he says it: he didn't insult anyone, he was stating his opinion, which is no different from what you're doing right now.. your post is kind of contradicting.
