I'm going to break down ghosts for you.
Even though I don't believe in them, I take MML (Mysteries, myths, and legends), and this was one of the topics. :|
Residual haunt has no idea of its existence and just... is like repeating memories. It will do the same thing over and over forever.
Intelligent haunt wants to get in contact with you, but is not violent.
Poltergeist(German for Rumbling spirit), is something that is violent and may want to attack or injure you.
See, he called a intelligent haunt a poltergeist, aswell as the fact that it's prolly him with a fkn fishin line.

I think that there are spirits... But not ghosts. Spirits don't take forms.

I think that spirits are just people who died before their time and haven't found their way to move on. Just my opinion.

Ghosts are too easy to make in a video or picture. Out of self experience i know ghosts are real, and I understand certain people think they dont. Only a few people got the ability to see them.
