I just found this the other day at work, I wrote a server selector for it.
If you open up the networking tab in your browser's dev tools you'll see like 50+ websocket connections. Each one is to one of the game's servers. Why does it open sockets to EVERY server? I don't know. But what I do know is only like 3 of them are in the U.S. I might throw it up on a domain later today. It's somewhat useful. The end result is you get to only play on servers close to you.
