Just wanted to touch the topic of people being misconstrued about what lead is in gunz, Lead before anti lead was put into effect was the placement of individuual players in game based on their ping, if you lived in mexico your going to have a higher ping than people who live in say florida or chicago etc within the united states, thus a player who is 30 ping looking at someone who is 100+ ping is placed several inches/feet ahead of what you actually are seeing them at, ping is simply the amount of time or distance it takes for the information to be reached 'pinged' and then relayed back to your computer/game. Which was the reason for people shooting the air and not the actual player, because ping placed them farther ahead than what your able to see within the game.

Lead in anti-lead although it says "anti" lead is still in effect its not something you can see in game gunz is based on a clock which is where underclocking and overclocking came into play back in the day and still does now to some degree.

If your 30 ping and playing someone 150 ping that persons in game clock is different from your owns, meaning while what you see on your screen isnt what they see on theirs and vise versa, in this case leading doesnt mean shooting the air in hopes of hitting the person because its not the same system as back on ijji, instead the placement of indidivual players is relevant only to the person playing, adjustments can be made but ping still does affect playing in the game.

So instead of a persons body being xxx distance ahead or before what your seeing, the damage taken from you to that person is instead delayed but on the receiving opponents side he is being hit the same way you would, there is simply an delay.

So if you think or believe lead isnt still used your sadly mistaken no were not still shooting the air or walls and floor but the same theory is still applied. Which is why most people hate playing players who have high ping because while the opponent isnt taking damage at the same rate you are, you are still being hit without doing any significant damage to the other player.

But if your 30 ping playing another 30 pinger the damage inflicted happenes simultanously, he hits you you hit him both receive damage at roughly the same time. I decided to write this because some inexperienced people dont understand gunz completely, and not all but some have never even played the original ijji gunz, only anti-lead and thats all they know.
