Just to inform you, the issue isn't resolved. It's something you gotta live with when playing from the same wifi. However it is weird that this will only apply at 2 people playing from the same wifi. It feels like some sort of client glitch (and it only happened after recent few updates, it worked normally before).
Also, the other server you mentioned, for anyone curious: don't even try it, it's totally shit stay at FG
