CS3 is more simple but that's just me go ask Miquel.

Doesn't really matter, they both have the same options.
Cs4 is only more specialized in 3D options, and maybe 2 more options in filter effect.
but why pick CS3 if you can get CS4? even tho it's not waaaay better it's still better. so just go get CS4.

Cs4 has 'multiple document layout' features, 3d options as well as 3d colouring, smart filters and smart transformation options, other than that they're pretty much the same.
