Have you tried turning your firewall off completely when running gunz? I'm guessing you already tried adding Gunz.exe in your firewall exceptions list by now.

I was just going to say, one time I guess a virus I had closed my port 80, couldn't play any servers on any games, so maybe check if port 80 is open, that is the port that most common internet traffic is passed through.
