My computer comes retail w/ 4gb of ram.
It's running Vista Home Prem. x64
My computer only detects 3gbs of ram?
I tried: Switching the Memory Sticks with the slots, buying new sticks. I know it's not a port because they all work I also tried going through bios to see if there is anything like detect new things or such.
    My comp stats:

Thank you if you can help.

    1. Go to Run
    2. Typ in
    Code:
    DxDiag
    3. Look at memory, does it say 3GB there too?
It's a terrible thing, I think, in life to wait until you're ready.
I have this feeling now that actually no one is ever ready to do anything.
There is almost no such thing as ready. There is only now.
And you may as well do it now. Generally speaking, now is as good a time as any.

and my friend said that if you have 4gb and a 32bit video card or something XD it only shows up 3gb but if you got 64bit it will show that you have 4gb ram

    Nah
If you have a 32 bits operating system than the max you can use is 3.2GB.
If you have a 64 bits operating system than you can use the max amount ur motherboard can support.
