    NOTES:

    * You're allowed to post this guide on any forum. Just remember to give credits.
    * This guide covers most of the aspects of leading. I've given some reference images for leading hit-boxes. And a little commentary under them.
    * Tips, tricks, and all that other shit are also given. Look at index for more information.
    * This is a pretty informational guide. If you want to improve your accuracy on GunZ then you really should lead.

    10-20 Ping

The green character is where you need to hit, roughly a quarter of a whole body. At low pings like 10 - 20 require little to no lead at all. So don't worry about lead shots missing.

    20-40 Ping

40 ping is where leading is critical. If you rely on the hit counter you won't do nearly as much damage -- half your shots will do anything. Again, the green character is where the actual hitboxes are. Several North American and Canadian pings are around here. (If you live in the US.)

    40-60 Ping

60 pings are usually from peers on the opposite side of the US. Rarely, a few Europeans reach 60. You need to lead about a whole body for 40/50/60 pings. Without leading, nearly all of your bullets will miss the hitboxes.

    60-90 Ping

Welcome to European territory. Nearly all European pings will be at 70-90 ping, and GunZ has a lot of EU's. All you need to do at 90 ping is lead roughly 2 bodies to make actual hits on the hitboxes. 70 is about 1 and 1/2 a body.

    90-110 Ping

Europeans farther away from the US will boarder around 100. I've seen a few Asian players reach this number (Middle East). Leading them are a bit harder than 60-80 ping Europeans in my opinion.

    110-130 Ping

Australian and farther Asian players have pings ranging from 110-130. 140-150 if you live farther away from them. About 2 and a half bodies should be enough to do damage to them.

    140-170 Ping

Far Australian & far Asian peers.

    Tips

    - If you're going to turtle someone with over 80 ping, lead them carefully.
    - Conserve ammo. Try not to spam all your shots.
    - Don't get nervous. At first I thought 'oh **** are my lead shots even hitting this ******'. Leading takes time and practice.
    - Rifles and machine guns of those nature will need track leading.
    - Be careful where you land your massives. Leading can compromise where your slashes, flips, and massives hit on someone.
    - Analyze your enemies movement. That's something I do before I even start shooting at him. A lot of the people I face do the same style over and over - that just makes it easier to predict where they dash off to next.
    - Simply wait for your opponent to come near your crosshair, then shoot.

    Ranged Weapons Technic

Unless your a gladiator, ranged weaponry are what you'll be using most of the time for leading. Waiting for an enemy to dash into your pb or shot is my personal favorite. Not hard to pull off and all you need is correct timing and predict where your enemy moves toward next.

(this guy was an European, around 70-80 ping.)

    Melee Weapon Technic

Swords are effective against laggers around 120 ping. All you need to do is butterfly around them. Do NOT massive laggers unless you are 100% certain it'll hit them. You'll need to picture them a few steps before you. One thing you do not want to try is turtling them, because they just aren't as easy as 10-50 pings. You need to lead your block into them so they won't slip out. Once you have the parried you can do your combo, or flip them.
Flipping requires leading. When an opponent is flipped you'll have to lead them coming down as well. Won't be too hard with practice.

    FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

Q: How do I know or check if my shots really hit my enemy?
A: Just take a replay, check in your enemies prospective and see if any hits hit him. If they do then his HP/AP should be dropping. Just make sure you keep leading.

Q: I underclock, do I need to lead?
    A: Screw yourself.

Q: What's the best weapon for leading?
A: In my opinion, use a shotgun and revolver combo. Revolvers do heavy damage long range, and have acceptable accuracy. Shotguns are choice for close-up point blank shots. Leading with them are pretty easier too.

Q: Does leading vary server to server?
A: Yeah, it does. Mostly because of the anti-hack/cheat system. For example, GameGuard on IJJI makes it even harder to lead.

Q: What if I don't lead at all?
A: Technically, you're missing shots. Don't need any leading under 20 ping really.

    Q: Does NAT affect leading?
A: Yes. It adds about 20 to your and your enemy's ping count. Rejoining might resolve NAT.

Q: Are there crosshairs for leading?
A: In my honest opinion, leading comes naturally along with aiming. You don't need some crosshair to help you. Just use a simple dot or something.

Q: Is this tutorial 100% accurate?
    A: No.
