Not really true, while it may work and you can play without a problem. You significantly reduce the durability of your cpu. I wouldn't be comfortable with a cpu running at 90-95 degrees.

However, its important to know what the temperature of the cpu is while running idle. This should indicate if the issue is software/hardware related.
