I have noticed that after being logged in for a long time, my in-game chat starts to bug out, making a sound effect when someone sends a message but no message is shown in chat. Pressing V to re-enable it doesnt help, and kill messages that make no sound are not shown either (for example when i kill someone, i get exp, but no message in chat that ive owned them).

Has anyone else encountered this or has a fix?

None of my options are 'ticked' disabling any chat and i havent changed any to suddenly see that effect, so i havent but also cant see why they would be related (i dont see chat messages, death messages and user joined/left room messages ingame only)

Nope, just chat messages, everything else (including seeing other people's chatbubble before they type something) works fine.
