If you change your password all that means is that you are resetting the sequence of the attack, by doing so it defreeze's your email untill the attacker clicks on freeze again, or restarts his program. So yes, you can quickly log in, only untill the program figures it has been defreezed and restarts. So when you log back out, it will refreeze it.

I even relogged once to check if it gets frozen again and it didnt.
