I think the best solution would be reduce it to 3 seconds and if someone abuses it then you know where's the report section is (or contact a staff member).

This I think is the best compromise. If you die I'm pretty sure you can stall 3 seconds while dead before respawning so even if it resets after a death shouldn't be an issue to leave.
