[Help - Runnable] Running FGunz on linux

Hello,

I just want to say there is no problem running the game on linux, I have been doing it for a while. I installed it via steam.

The problem is connecting.

I have notice that I cannot login to gunz on linux if I don't do it first on Windows.
For me to be able to play on linux I first need to go to windows, login in gunz and then restart the computer, go to linux and then I can enter in the server without a problem.

This solution is kind of annoying because if I later in the day I want to go again to Gunz I have to the same process again. Reboot to Windows, login in gunz, reboot to Linux and then I can play.

If anyone knows a solution or if the devs could please take a look how to improve the experience I would greatly appreciate it.

Solution: Try multiple times to log in and eventually it will enter.

Hi, you're not the first Linux user to report the issue (though it doesn't seem to affect all Linux users - seems to be some environment issue).

Today I didn't need to do the trick

I don't know, maybe is the proton version of steam. Since I am always on experimental maybe it gets broken and fixed. But I will message you on discord then in case you want me to do some test.

shooting off the hip rn cus I havent used linux, but doesnt gunz require firewall access ? Maybe can do something through the terminal

I don't use firewall on linux can't be that. But I have talked with the admin and his trying a solution, either way, he gave the tip to try multiple times and it will end to work, so its not bad enough like I described.
