Thats the Cheap/Fast UVmapping Way, the problem on that way is that its only right for the faces that are facing the camera.
All others get squeezed together.
Anyhow, the trigger of that Pistol is wrong, lol!

Please, a developer in the making from one developer to another, please do not DO NOT use Styx way to model it is incorrect and is not the proper way to model weapons. Thank you and the way to texture okay here it is
1) Right click under where it says like file, add, timeline etc... and it should say split area, now keep trying to do it until you see a line split down and put it in the middle of your picture
2)on the right side of the line, click on the little chart like picture its the very first tab before the word View
3)select UV/Image
4)after the word IMAGE, click on the little arrow thing then load up the image your using for your texture
5) go back to ur first like screen before the line and go into edit mode select all and press u and project from view
6) on the right hand side of the line you will see the model
7) resize and make sure the model fits right into the picture
8)go back to the left side of the line and select Object mode, then under draw type select Textured mode( draw type is right next to the object mode key thing)
I hope this helps, enjoy
