    Hey!

Today we will be making text reflect. This is an easy tutorial but its very tricky.

We start with creating a new file of 300 by 200 pixels and fill it with a black background and placing your text on top of it. This is how it should look like:

Now we duplicate the text layer by pressing CRTL+T or right click the text layer and choose Duplicate Layer.

Place your duplicated text layer underneath by holding CRTL and pressing the down arrow. After that, go to Edit > Transform > Flip Vertical.

Grab the Gradient Tool by pressing G or right click the bucket in the menu and select Gradient Tool.

NOTE: always check if your foreground color is white and background color is black like this:

In the upper left corner press the arrow and choose the Foreground to Background gradient.

In the bottom right corner you press this icon:

This will create a layer mask.

Now you drag a line with the Gradient Tool by holding SHIFT and drag your mouse down a little bit to create a line.

By releasing the mouse button you will see that the text will flade out where the black is. This is caused by the layer mask which make black dissapear and white appear.
This is what you should have now:

To make the reflecting text even more fading, change the Opacity to a lower value.

    The outcome:

This tutorial is really tricky and pretty hard to understand but extremely easy when you know how its done. Just play around with it a little bit.
