Well First Off, fix your text, set it behind the shinny circle and if your trying to make it look 3D change the circle insted of it having a flat color, as for the outter glow ur using it to much but its not bad for ur first even if it wasw with the tutorial

Yes, start out watching tutorials and take their idea's, but from there you can make something unique. Keep trying, try different methods and then do what you like best, or merge your favorite ways into one.
