Snipers in cw?

isn't this not allowed? i thought it wouldn't even allow you to go into clan war with a sniper equipped, but a guy named bromance in Language clan was using a sniper in cw today.

well it happened. i thought i pressed f11 but i pressed f12 and took only a ss. not a record. i thought it was a glitch or something because when i tried it said that i couldn't be invited to clan war because i have a sniper equipped. i guess he was hacking then idk

How do we know you can't use snipers in cw tho lol. Should just make a weapon check when you click "clan war" > sniper item equiped = no cw?
