I'm using Windows 8 and today I tried running FGunZ.
It worked.

I've seen some people play with Windows 8 if i'm not mistaken.

Did you change the compatibility settings?
If yes, don't touch anything from there. Just uncheck everything.

If no, You may have to install Microsoft 2010 Redistributable which is located in the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Freestyle GunZ Version 7\redist" Folder.
If you're using 64 bit OS - install the x86 AND x64. If using a 32 bit OS, install the x86 only.
If it asks - run the repair option.

^ Install that and if you have antivirus and firewall disable them. If the antivirus and firewall is the problem, add Gunz.exe, Gunz64.exe, Launcher.exe to exception list '-'.

'Just press right click then > Features > Run this program in compatibility mode for: > And set it for Windows 8."

Most of times that doesn't solve the problem.
