Tip: Never use blending options on a render.
The first one is better because you can still see her face. It still has the render on top of a bg feel though.

Your render in squished. Make sure you stay to proportions. And you need to do more blending.

Did you just put outer glow? NEVER EVER DO THAT.
And as Rhysin said, in the first the details of her face are shown.
As for the text, it should not be there, it needs to be a bit bigger, closer to the render and free of blending options, maybe drop shadow but not the others, also if you want to use drop shadow, the good way to do it is to set distance on 2 and spread on 0. I also feel like the render is stretched horizontally. While resizing a render, hold shift and just see what happens (use one of the corners to resize -- do not resize its' height and width each alone).
