Female characters are smaller, giving them less visibility. Males stick out more so it's easier to follow them.
Also, you get more room on your screen to aim because females block less of your view.
On the other hand, males can yoyo with shotguns. Females can't, but they can do the rocket launcher fall trick.
By the way, I highly doubt females have smaller hitboxes. Model size =/= hitbox size.
