I had this question that has been bothering me for a while now....

When it first was made, the ELITE group was made for anybody with a 2009 (or 2010?) or older account. It was since changed to ex-staff. I was kind of curious to know if anybody knew why. I've been wondering for quite a while now.

ELITE status is for members who have contributed there time towards helping the server develop/maintain. (I think)

There are two elite groups. One of them is the group created by users themselves, the other is an actual status someone receives after contributing, like Fury said, to this community.

Yeah, the actual group used to be for old accounts, but it got changed. I never figured out why.
I just went to look in my sent messages to see when that was the case.

It used to be for the really old people, not 2009/2010 but more like <= 2008.
If we gave all 2009/2010'ers ELITE now, ELITE status would have no value anymore. (Although really, it doesn't have a value anymore.)

There's a big chance that ELITE statuses will be taken away because it was given to people who were a staff member for at least 6 months, it might change to a longer period or you get it in case you made a special contribution.
